The Roanoke STARCADE is a nonprofit museum with a playable collection of arcade cabinets, modern home consoles, and other gaming technologies!
Nope! All you need is a ticket! Admission for the museum is $13 ($15 on weekends),
and all of our games are set to FREE PLAY, so when you have your museum ticket,
all you gotta do is PRESS START.
We are a nonprofit museum so that means we also rehabilitate videogame machines, as well as curate them! Many of our machines are fickle classics but we perform routine maintenance on our games weekly, so if your favorite game is out of order during your visit, come back to see us and you may find your game back in action! You could even discover new games!
Of course! What better place for a birthday party than in an awesome arcade? You could always purchase tickets ahead of time to reserve your spot during regular business hours, or you can contact us about a private rental! Check out our RENTALS tab to send us a message!
No food or drinks allowed inside the STARCADE unless the beverage has a twist top (to protect our precious technology!). We do sell water bottles. We can also recommend a good place to eat nearby, as Downtown Roanoke has an amazing selection of local restaurants! The only exception is reserved for private rentals.
Ask us about our memberships! An annual membership means you can come in all the time! You can also follow us on social media to see what we're up to, new games, and upcoming events!
